The MIR is a center specialized in treating sterility, created in 1986 by Professor André MATTEI.
Professor André MATTEI was an innovator on the treatment of sterility and created the Center for Study and Conservation of human Eggs and Sperm (CECOS in French) in 1974 in Marseille, one of the first sperm banks in France.
He also organized with his associates Doctor Claude GIORGETTI, Doctor ROULIER and Doctor Jean-Pierre FRANQUEBALME, a Reproduction Medicine university degree which met a great success.
The Medicine Institute of Reproduction sets up a scientific meeting every year, with renowned lecturers in biology and reproductive medicine.
A monthly scientific reunion is opened to physicians who wish to contribute.
We also greet physicians and biologists, French and foreigners, who wish to better themselves and who want to open centers for Reproductive Medicine and Biology.
Thus, the MIR contributed to the development of several centers in Maghreb countries and Eastern countries more recently in Erevan, Armenia.
